At Bates Memorial United Methodist Church, you’ll find a warm, welcoming, multigenerational family of faith. Whether this is your first time stepping into any church or you’re looking for a new church home in Snow Hill, we want you to feel comfortable and at home from the moment you arrive.
Service Times & Location
- Sunday Worship: 11:00 AM
- Address: 100 E Market Street, Snow Hill, MD 21863
- Shared Parish: We worship alongside Trinity United Methodist Church in Newark as part of the Ocean Pines Snow Hill Cooperative Parish.
Getting Here & Parking
We have a large parking lot directly behind the church, easily accessible from Market Street.
- Follow the driveway around to the back.
- Our main entrance is right off the parking lot and features a ramp for easy access. This door ensures everyone — regardless of mobility — can enter the building comfortably and safely.
- Handicapped parking spaces are available near the ramp.
- Our youth serve as greeters and will be outside or just inside the door to welcome you and answer any questions.
What to Expect
Our 11:00 AM service is a traditional United Methodist worship experience lasting about one hour. You can expect:
- Heartfelt preaching
- Beautiful hymns and special music
- Scripture reading and prayer
- A welcoming atmosphere where people genuinely care for one another
Bulletins and overhead screens are provided to guide you through the service. You are not expected to know all the responses or songs — just participate at your own comfort level.
Children & Youth
We offer an active and welcoming children’s ministry at Bates Memorial:
- Children are welcome in the main service with their families.
- Age-appropriate activities and lessons are available.
- Led by Andrea Irving (Children’s Ministry) and James Smith (Acolyte Ministry).
- Nursery care is available as needed — just let a greeter know when you arrive.
